About Me

About Me

My name is Sarah Lindsey and I have been a licensed therapist for over 10 years. I was originally licensed in Little Rock, Arkansas and recently became licensed in Texas. I have been exclusively in private practice since 2016, and virtual since 2019. Prior to private practice, I worked in substance abuse treatment and support for families, homeless outreach and ministry, and school-based counseling. I have received specialized training in co-parent counseling work, blended family coaching, and recovery and codependency support.

I am originally from San Antonio, Texas where my two sisters and I were raised by police officer parents.  I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology at Colorado Christian University. After undergrad, I relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas where I completed my Masters in Counseling at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I currently live in Georgetown, Texas with my husband, four kids, and two dogs.

My Approach

My primary therapy model is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also utilize tools from Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. My faith-based approach ensures that each client I work with presents an unconditional worth and value regardless of current struggles.

I have been told that I am a very direct, no fluff counselor. This may be exactly what you are looking for! It is important for you to connect with your therapist. Even the best approaches will not be effective if you don't trust or feel like your counselor "gets" you. I hope to keep our communication open to allow an appropriate referral to be made if we are not the best match.
